Job summary

Oxarc LLC is seeking a Cylinder Technician to prepare cylinders per procedures and ensure readiness for maintenance crews. You will valve/de-valve, maintain cylinders, and keep a safe work area while following safety guidelines.

The role requires use of hand, power, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, plus the ability to read manuals and perform basic math. Candidates must pass drug and background checks and support a strongly safety-driven environment.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of common hand tools, power tools and their proper use.
• Able to operate hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, attention to detail, and good math skills.
• Good reading and writing skills. Able to read and comprehend technical manuals and government publications.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to lift/move 80 lbs.
• Work Environment-some outside.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Valve and de-valve cylinders.
• Scrap labels to prepare for regular maintenance.
• General maintenance of cylinders.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Attend Monthly Safety Meetings. Work according to established safety procedures and promote safety with co-workers. Inform supervisors of potential safety hazards.
• Commit to high performance through outstanding attendance and overall dependable work habits.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations and laws.
