Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Kingman, AZ is seeking an M&R Technician I to perform visual and physical tests on cylinders, determine retesting or repairs, and assist with cylinder conversions. You will also operate testers and help ensure safe, compliant cylinders.

This role requires ability to lift 40–70 lbs, mechanical aptitude, and a motivated attitude. A high school degree is preferred and gas industry/cylinder maintenance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Gas industry and cylinder maintenance experience preferred.
• High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Able to handle up to 40 - 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Motivated attitude.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual, physical tests on cylinders before filling and determines whether retesting and/or repairs are required.
• Performs cylinder conversions including de-valving, valving, stripping and repairing valves.
• Operates a hydrostatic cylinder tester or ultrasonic cylinder tester.
• Maintains certification requirements to certify the cylinders as being retested.
• Operates forklift.
• Receives incoming new cylinders, valves, and cylinder maintenance supplies.
• Repairs cylinder neck leaks and safety leaks.
• Inspects and scraps defective cylinders.
• Paints cylinders.
• Housekeeping & light Plant maintenance.
• Use of a respirator is required.
