Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Fairless Hills, PA is seeking a Cylinder Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, valve work, and cylinder testing to ensure safe, compliant cylinders.

You will inspect, retest, and repair cylinders, maintain certifications, and support material handling with a forklift. Preferred candidates have gas-industry experience or cylinder maintenance, are physically capable of lifting 40–70 lbs, and are mechanically inclined with a proactive work ethic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in gas industry or cylinder maintenance preferred.
• Able to lift 40–70 lbs.
• Mechanically inclined with a strong, self-motivated work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical inspections on cylinders before filling to determine retesting or repairs.
• Conduct cylinder conversions, including de-valving, valving, stripping, and repairing valves.
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers.
• Maintain required certifications to certify cylinders as retested.
• Operate a forklift to support material handling and movement of cylinders.
• Receive incoming cylinders, valves and maintenance supplies; diagnose and repair leaks.
• Inspect and identify defective cylinders, scrap as needed.
• Perform painting, housekeeping and light plant maintenance to keep a safe environment.
