Job summary

Airgas in La Porte, TX is hiring a Cylinder Loader to fill and test high-pressure cylinders and support our logistics operations. The role requires manual handling, ability to operate equipment, and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform very heavy work (lifting 25–75 lbs routinely, up to >100 lbs occasionally with aid).
• Read and comprehend written and computer-generated documentation.
• Ability to operate forklift and obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Test gas for purity using testing equipment.
• Inspect or test empty cylinders.
• Fill high-pressure cylinders using compression temperature/pressure method.
• Operate and maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases.
• Perform pre-fill and post-fill inspections and ensure safety tests before release.
• Maintain cylinder filling records and follow procedures to meet regulations.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and support inventory/logistics tasks.
