Job summary

Airgas in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Plant Operator 5 (Cylinder Loader) to safely load and unload high‑pressure cylinders, operate a forklift, and support daily production flow. The shift runs Monday–Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with strict adherence to safety and regulatory procedures.

You will perform pre‑fill and post‑fill inspections, maintain records, assist with inventory, and help customers as needed. Comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with match, and paid holidays are included.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months industry experience.
• Must have at least 6 months DOT cylinder filling experience.
• Ability to perform very heavy work - routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76lbs.
• Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all other written communications.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Handle high pressure cylinders and operate forklift to move pallets around the plant.
• Load and unload cylinders onto/off trucks in a safe, compliant manner.
• Perform pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.
• Maintain accurate cylinder filling records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with inventory, loading/unloading, and general plant housekeeping.
