Job summary

SkillStorm is seeking experienced trainers for a contract opportunity supporting our VET TEC program, delivering technical instruction to veterans preparing for careers in technology. This is a 1099 contract requiring 40 hours per week for 16 weeks.

Trainers will lead structured coursework, hands-on labs, and mentor veteran students to build practical skills aligned with industry certifications and real-world roles.

Qualifications

• Active certification not required, solid working knowledge at Network+ and Security+ level.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for diverse learners.
• Passion for mentoring veteran students and supporting career transitions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cybersecurity training for a 16-week, full-time program (40 hours/week).
• Lead structured coursework, hands-on labs, and practical exercises.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to ensure certification readiness.
• Provide day-to-day mentorship and technical support to veteran learners.
• Collaborate with program staff to maintain course quality and accountability.
