Job summary

ECS Federal is seeking a Technical Writer / Content Manager to join our Arlington, VA team in a hybrid role supporting the CISA TESS program. You will develop and maintain documentation for CVLE, RLMS/Moodle, and lab provisioning, while coordinating with cloud engineers, ATO specialists, and instructors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a technical writer/editor, 2+ years in content management, and strong CMS/LMS experience.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a technical writer/editor.
2+ years of experience in content management and digital content workflows.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CMS and LMS platforms (Moodle preferred).
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, ATO processes, vulnerability management, and POA&M tracking.
Ability to create operational runbooks, SOPs, and user guides for technical platforms.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain technical documentation for CVLE and RLMS/Moodle, including runbooks and lab provisioning docs.
Document ATO package artifacts and maintain remediation tracking reports with SMEs.
Coordinate with LMS admin to manage and curate content within the LMS and upload training materials.
Document lab image development processes and transfer procedures, maintaining version control for AMI library.
Assist in developing transition plans and knowledge transfer packages for platform hand-off.
Coordinate graphics and production of documents across PDFs, web, and LMS formats.
Ensure content meets 508/WCAG accessibility standards and remains consistent across repositories.
Interview SMEs and engineers to extract information for documentation and updates.
Support content governance, metadata tagging, and lifecycle management.
