Job summary

GM Financial is seeking a senior cybersecurity leader to guide engineering teams and safeguard our information systems. This role emphasizes network security, threat monitoring, and security analytics to protect data, manage risks, and enable bold technology adoption.

You will partner with executive leadership to align security with business goals, while promoting innovation and resilience across the environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in large and complex business environments with senior management exposure
• Experience securing cloud deployments on major platforms (Azure, AWS, Google) preferred
• Experience with IaC and immutable infrastructure preferred
• Experience securing container deployments (Kubernetes) and DevOps environments preferred
• Strong understanding of IT security processes, controls, and networking concepts

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for cybersecurity and infrastructure initiatives
• Guide engineering teams to ensure effectiveness of security frameworks and technologies
• Apply advanced knowledge of network security, threat monitoring, and security analytics to protect systems and data
• Support risk management and alignment of security with business objectives
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and vendors on security upgrades
