Job summary

GM Financial is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to help advance our cybersecurity program, advising on risk management, information security controls, and threat response. You will work with multiple teams to implement policies and ensure secure systems across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes collaboration, policy development, and continuous improvement of security controls in a hybrid work environment. A strong understanding of NIST frameworks and IT security practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Expertise in cybersecurity policy frameworks and controls.
• Experience coordinating with multiple business partners to align risk programs.
• Ability to interpret security requirements and translate them into actionable controls.

Responsibilities

• Execute portions of the GM Financial Cybersecurity Program to advise on risk management and threat responses.
• Develop and update cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures referencing NIST and CSF.
• Collaborate with internal and external groups to ensure program effectiveness and partnership across the enterprise.
• Document and report policy or procedure changes and ensure adherence across teams.
• Monitor and promote cybersecurity practices within the organization and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Support risk management decisions and drive security projects end-to-end.
