Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Information Security Consultant to guide clients in building and refining security postures. The role involves assessing needs, designing tailored strategies, and advising on controls across network, cloud, application, and data security.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in information security or advisory roles, strong communication, and familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls. Hybrid work and client-facing engagements are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 4+ years of information security, consulting, or related advisory experience.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and gap assessments for clients.
• Develop comprehensive information security strategies and roadmaps.
• Advise on selection and implementation of security technologies and solutions.
• Assist clients in developing and refining security policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance on regulatory compliance (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Support incident response planning and preparedness.
• Present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver integrated security solutions.
