Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions for a hybrid environment. You will lead initiatives to strengthen defenses, ensure compliance, and guide security best practices across networks, cloud platforms, and SIEM deployments.

The role emphasizes incident response, automation, and mentorship, with a focus on delivering robust security Architecture while collaborating with security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security engineering or architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and security frameworks.
• Proficiency in security technologies and SIEM solutions.
• Experience with scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain robust security systems, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Develop and implement security architecture to protect against emerging threats.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
• Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Automate security processes and workflows using scripting languages.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security staff.
