Schneider Downs & Co., Inc. seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to provide strategic cyber consulting, data-driven reporting, and leadership across IR, forensics, and incident response.

You will engage with client senior leadership, coach junior team members, and contribute to the growth of our cybersecurity practice. The role emphasizes collaboration, client-focused advisory, and delivering security improvements across diverse environments, with a hybrid work model enabling work from home

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Electrical Engineering, Information Assurance, MIS or related field
• Minimum of three years of cybersecurity experience, including a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity frameworks
• Prior cybersecurity consulting experience
• Understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI, HIPAA, SOX)
• Experience with advanced computer exploitation methodologies
• Understanding of TCP/IP network protocols
• Experience with incident response lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Support large-scale security assessment projects for clients
• Provide cyber consulting from a vCISO-like perspective driving year-over-year change
• Develop detailed reports from multiple data sources (security appliances, network sensors, intelligence feeds)
• Present technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences, including boards
• Lead incident response activities and tabletop exercises
• Evaluate and improve IRP and hardening configurations of systems
