Job summary

KDDI America, Inc. seeks a seasoned pre-sales security architect in New York to translate business needs into scalable security solutions across MXDR, EDR/XDR, SASE/ZTNA, email security, SSPM/DSPM, and password management.

You will lead proofs of concept and product demonstrations, produce architectural propositions and BOMs, engage vendor partners, and ensure clean handovers to Delivery. Focused on Japanese-headquartered financial institutions, trading companies, and insurers.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-sales security solutions and customer engagements.
• Ability to articulate complex architectures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and translate requirements into security solution architectures across MXDR, EDR/XDR, SASE/ZTNA, email security, SSPM/DSPM, password management, brand protection, and security awareness training.
• Plan, set up, and lead customer proofs of concept and product demonstrations; define success criteria and evaluate outcomes.
• Produce architecture diagrams, bills of materials, technical scope documents, assumptions, and high-level effort estimates for proposals and SOWs.
• Maintain relationships with vendor sales-engineering counterparts; stay current on product roadmaps and competitive positioning.
• Ensure clean handover from pre-sales to Delivery/Architect teams with defined scope and risks.
• Support NY region accounts focused on Japanese-headquartered financial institutions, trading companies, and insurers.
• Build reusable pre-sales templates and collateral; conduct enablement sessions for the sales organization.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving pre-sales processes.
