Job summary

Actus Consulting Group is seeking a seasoned Pre-sales Engineer to lead technical discovery, scope conversations, and translate business needs into robust solution architectures. You will plan PoCs, lead demonstrations, and produce technical proposals across MXDR, EDR/XDR, SASE/ZTNA, and related security domains.

You will maintain vendor relationships, stay current on roadmaps, and ensure smooth pre-sales to delivery handoffs, while supporting NY region accounts and providing broader US coverage

Qualifications

• Lead technical discovery and scoping conversations translating business requirements into solution architectures.
• Plan and lead proofs of concept and product demonstrations across the vendor stack.
• Produce architecture diagrams, BOMs, scope documents and high-level effort estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and scoping conversations with customers and translate requirements into architectures.
• Plan, set up and lead proofs of concept and product demonstrations; define success criteria.
• Create architecture diagrams, BOMs, scope documents, and high-level efforts for proposals.
• Maintain vendor relationships and stay current on roadmaps and new features.
• Ensure clean handover from pre-sales to Delivery/Architect teams and support kickoff sessions.
• Support NY accounts and other US regions; bring regulatory context (NYDFS Part 500, FFIEC, SOX IT).
• Build reusable templates and pre-sales collateral; enable sales teams with product walkthroughs.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to pre-sales methodology improvements.
