Job summary

IANS Research is seeking a Cyber Security Reporter to produce in-depth coverage for CISOs and security teams from its Boston office. The role emphasizes sourcing from a broad security practitioner network, industry events, and data-driven storytelling.

The reporter will develop industry knowledge, cover major security themes, and contribute to a growing editorial organization with some on-site requirements in Boston, MA. A competitive salary with bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Have 1–2 years of finance or business journalism experience with enterprise reporting.
• Comfortable with data-driven reporting and using proprietary data for insights.
• High productivity and fast turnaround expectations.
• Strong understanding of process and process management.
• Collaborative, experience working in a globally distributed, remote team.

Responsibilities

• Produce multiple stories a week with deep, unique insights.
• Leverage IANS faculty and experts to add context.
• Use the content library to enhance reporting.
• Collaborate with research and content teams.
• Attend conferences and industry events for stories and sourcing.
• Develop knowledge of customers and the cybersecurity industry for relevant coverage.
• Be available for off-hours work during major breaking news.
