Job summary

IANS, a Boston-based organization, seeks a Cyber Security Reporter to join an expanding editorial team dedicated to in-depth coverage for CISOs and their teams. You will cultivate sources from IANS' faculty network, attend conferences, monitor threats and trends, and author multiple high-quality stories weekly using proprietary research and transcripts to deliver unique insights.

Some off-hours work may be required to cover major breaking news, with a collaborative environment and competitive

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of finance or business journalism experience.
• Experience with data-driven reporting and using proprietary data.
• Comfort with high productivity and fast turnaround times.
• Familiarity with process management.
• Collaborative work in a globally distributed, remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce multiple stories a week with exclusive focus on depth and unique insights.
• Actively leverage IANS' faculty network to add context to breaking news events.
• Leverage the library of content, including faculty research and transcripts, to enhance reporting quality.
• Collaborate with IANS' research and content teams.
• Attend conferences and other industry events for stories and sourcing.
• Develop deep knowledge of IANS' customers and the security industry for informed coverage.
• Be comfortable with off-hours work for major breaking news or related responsibilities.
