IANS, a Boston-based organization, seeks a Cyber Security Reporter to join an expanding editorial team dedicated to in-depth coverage for CISOs and their teams. You will cultivate sources from IANS' faculty network, attend conferences, monitor threats and trends, and author multiple high-quality stories weekly using proprietary research and transcripts to deliver unique insights.
Some off-hours work may be required to cover major breaking news, with a collaborative environment and competitive

$56,000 - $70,000 + bonus

The Security Reporter will join an editorial organization currently expanding to provide in-depth, differentiated coverage of major themes and news in the rapidly evolving security space. The reporter will develop and cultivate sources comprised of industry experts and professionals, drawing heavily upon IANS' existing network of practitioners and subject matter experts, to author compelling and uniquely insightful content aimed at CISOs and their teams. The Reporter will also be expected to cover industry events, including IANS' own offerings; monitor ongoing developments, threats and trends; and actively consume the content of IANS and other security-focused information providers, in order both to enhance their reporting and develop an deepening base of sector knowledge over time.
