Job summary

The Aspen Institute is seeking a Senior Associate for Cybersecurity Programs in Washington, DC, on a hybrid basis (~2 days in the office). You will support multi-stakeholder convenings, manage materials, coordinate events, and help advance cybersecurity policy initiatives domestically and globally.

You will work under two Directors, coordinating the Cyber Summit and various group activities, while ensuring confidentiality and delivering timely, organized follow‑ups.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of program coordination, executive support, or operations experience in nonprofit/policy.
• Strong attention to detail with solid planning and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and complex workflows.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
• Adaptable, proactive, collaborative, and travel-friendly.
• Proficient with Slack, Zoom, Outlook, Google Suite; Jotform and AI tools a plus.
• Interest in cybersecurity and technology policy issues.

Responsibilities

• Support Directors with agenda creation, speaker recruitment, and meeting coordination.
• Prepare briefing materials and track project milestones and sponsorships.
• Plan and execute virtual and in-person events; liaise with external stakeholders.
• Create program materials and surveys using digital tools.
• Take notes in meetings and distribute follow-up materials.
• Manage timelines and improve operational processes across programs.
