Job summary

Meriplex in Colorado is seeking a security operations professional to monitor incoming tickets, triage incidents, and support customers with security configurations and reporting requests.

You will troubleshoot security applications and appliances, interpret data from security tools, and apply cybersecurity and privacy principles across the organization. A solid foundation in Windows, Mac, and Linux is preferred, with scripting basics a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus but not required.
• Experience or familiarity with security tools and incident triage.
• Ability to troubleshoot security applications and appliances.
• Understanding of how information travels across networks and systems.
• Strong customer service skills and effective communication.
• Basic programming skills are a plus.
• Familiar with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or KQL.
• Experience in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating environments.
• Certifications such as Security+, Network+, CySA+, or ISC2 SSCP are a plus.

• Handle customer requests including security configurations, reporting requests, investigations, and all error/issue identification.
• Maintain accurate records of triage activities, generate shift reports, and contribute to incident summaries, ensuring traceability for compliance audits.
• Provide troubleshooting of security applications and appliances.
• Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
• Ability to interpret information collected by security tools.
• Understanding of how information travels.
• Customer service skills.
• Familiar with proxy and web content filtering tools.
• Basic programming skills are a plus.
