Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Monitoring Engineer to support the DMDC CyberPRIMES program. The role involves monitoring enterprise cybersecurity capabilities, validating tool health, and reporting coverage across the DHRA IT environment with Tier 3 and Tier 2 support.

The candidate will assess tool configuration, data quality, and compliance with NIST and DoD standards, coordinating with system owners and CSSPs to resolve issues and improve security posture. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 4+ years of relevant professional experience; degree may be substituted with equivalent education and training.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity monitoring, security engineering, operations, or enterprise security tools.
• Experience evaluating the configuration, connectivity, availability, coverage, or operational status of cybersecurity tools.
• Experience identifying technical issues and coordinating across organizations to troubleshoot cybersecurity-tool or infrastructure problems.
• Working knowledge of Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements, NIST guidance, or comparable Federal standards.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical procedures, monitoring documents, metrics, and status reporting.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to Government, engineering, cybersecurity, and IT operations stakeholders.
• U.S. Citizenship required; Active Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor DHRA cybersecurity posture using Government-mandated tools and capabilities.
• Support Tier 3 and shared Tier 2 monitoring and troubleshooting with Cybersecurity Service Providers.
• Validate tool configuration, deployment, operability, connectivity, and data quality for DHRA systems.
• Assess coverage across DHRA assets and identify gaps or reporting issues.
• Open, track, and coordinate technical tickets through resolution with owners and service providers.
• Develop corrective action plans and verify successful closure of deficiencies.
• Document monitoring tactics and maintain updated procedures and metrics.
