Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Monitoring Engineer to support the DMDC CyberPRIMES program. The role focuses on enterprise cybersecurity monitoring, tool health, and coverage across DHRA systems and networks. You will assess tool health, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable recommendations to improve security posture.

The position requires an active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship, with duties at multiple DHRA/DMDC sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity monitoring, security engineering, or enterprise security-tool environments.
• Experience evaluating configuration, connectivity, availability, or coverage of cybersecurity tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cybersecurity-tool or infrastructure problems.
• Familiarity with DoD/NIST cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor DHRA cybersecurity posture using government tools and capabilities.
• Support Tier 3 and shared Tier 2 monitoring and troubleshooting with service providers.
• Validate tool configuration, deployment, operability, connectivity, data rollups, updates, and compliance.
• Assess deployment of cybersecurity capabilities across DHRA systems and assets.
• Identify gaps and report tool failures, outages, or data quality issues.
• Open and coordinate technical tickets through resolution with stakeholders.
• Develop corrective action plans and monitor their effectiveness.
• Document corrective actions and verify issue resolution.
• Develop measurable monitoring metrics for leadership visibility.
• Analyze trends to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend tool enhancements or process changes based on findings.
• Document baseline changes and maintain TTPs.
• Support security scanning, mitigation, and compliance checks.
• Review results for accuracy and compliance with standards.
