Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Monitoring Engineer to support the DMDC CyberPRIMES program. This role will oversee enterprise monitoring, assess tool health, coverage, and reporting, and coordinate with service providers and government teams to strengthen the DHRA cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities include validating configurations, addressing gaps, and developing metrics to demonstrate tool effectiveness and risk reduction across DHRA assets.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting cybersecurity monitoring, security engineering or enterprise security-tool environments.
• Experience evaluating configuration, connectivity, or operational status of cybersecurity tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor DHRA cybersecurity posture using government tools and capabilities.
• Support Tier 3 and shared Tier 2 monitoring and troubleshooting with Cybersecurity Service Providers.
• Validate tool configuration, deployment, operability, connectivity, data rollups, updates and compliance with DHRA, DoD and NIST requirements.
• Assess whether cybersecurity capabilities are deployed and operating across DHRA systems and networks.
• Identify gaps in tool coverage by comparing against asset inventories and report issues.
• Open, document and coordinate technical tickets and drive resolution with stakeholders.
• Develop corrective action plans and monitor get-well actions to closure.
• Document validated actions and track deficiencies to closure.
• Develop measurable cybersecurity monitoring metrics for leadership visibility.
• Analyze monitoring results for trends and improvement opportunities.
