Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Sparks, NV seeks a Cybersecurity Manager I to design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, and security monitoring tools. You will lead the Security Engineering team, manage risk and incident response, and ensure compliance with RMF/NISPOM guidelines.

You will collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to embed security requirements into IT project lifecycles, monitor controls, and report on security posture to regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, IT or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience; 11 years if no degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret U.S. security clearance.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and digital forensics.
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, Windows, large-scale servers, virtualization.
• Knowledge of NISPOM, RMF, JSIG, ICD 503 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Security Engineering team, including hiring, performance management, and career growth planning.
• Oversee security architecture, secure-by-design reviews, and tool lifecycle management.
• Direct risk and vulnerability assessment programs and remediation tracking.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Security Architect and senior leadership to embed security in IT projects.
• Prepare security reports for regulatory agencies.
