Job summary

UNT Dallas seeks a Lecturer in Information Technology with a Cybersecurity specialization to teach four courses per semester and contribute to program development and assessment. The role includes leading curriculum development and serving on committees, while delivering courses such as Foundations of Cybersecurity and Network Administration.

The successful candidate will be the inaugural cybersecurity instructor at UNT Dallas, offering a full range of undergraduate cybersecurity and IT courses

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity, IT, and CS.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using technology in teaching and delivering in multiple modalities (hybrid, online, face-to-face).
• Evidence of significant academic research and/or applied Cybersecurity experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach four courses per semester and engage in program/course development, assessment and committee leadership.
• Serve as inaugural cybersecurity instructor at UNT Dallas, teaching a full range of undergraduate Cybersecurity and IT courses (e.g., Foundations of Cybersecurity, Network Administration, Cloud Security, Computer Forensics, Networks, Programming).
