Job summary

University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) seeks a Lecturer for Information Systems & Cybersecurity Management to join a revolving pool for part-time, non-tenure track appointments in the College of Business. Courses include IS, cybersecurity, programming, databases and IT risk topics, taught across on-campus, online and hybrid formats.

Appointments are semester-by-semester and based on qualifications and course openings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, cybersecurity management, information security, computer science or closely related field with a minimum of three (3) years professional experience in these areas.
OR a completed master's degree in in business administration, information systems, cybersecurity management, information security, computer science or a closely related field with a minimum of one-year of professional industry experience in these areas is required.
A terminal degree (e.g. PhD, DBA, JD) is preferred.
Applicants with prior and relevant teaching experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides instruction to undergraduate/graduate students both in-person and online courses.
Maintains, develops and schedules student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes.
Plans, develops, and implements evaluation tools to assess student process towards course learning objectives.
Be familiar with learning management systems, such as Canvas.
Other duties as determined by the College of Business.
