Qualifications

• Ability to teach courses and utilize necessary technology for in-person and online instruction
• Ability to manage and engage students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels in the classroom, laboratory, and field environment
• Ability to manage student outcomes related to all classes taught
• Knowledge of appropriate teaching methods and documentation

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in classroom, lab, learning center, or other setting as appropriate
• Provides student contact before/after class or via email/phone when possible
• Prepares and uses instructional materials including syllabi and media; incorporates latest classroom technology
• Structures curriculum to align with program objectives; maintains currency
• Supports a diverse learning environment within the College community
• Maintains equipment and safeguards facilities and materials
• Abides by College policies and procedures
• Convenes classes on time and as scheduled
• Maintains and records grades and documents incompletes
• Ensures safe working and classroom conditions
• Participates in professional development
• Maintains current licenses or certificates
• May direct aides and work-study students
• Utilizes the College's computer system
