Per Scholas is seeking a Cybersecurity Instructor who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for teaching, coaching, and developing career-ready tech professionals. Qualifications

• Current industry‑recognised cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, PenTest+ or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field preferred; 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience
• Experience teaching adult learners in technical subjects and managing labs
• Ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into practical learning experiences

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security and ethical hacking
• Prepare learners for industry‑recognised certifications (e.g., Security+ SY0-701 and CISSP)
• Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback and coaching to ensure course completion and certification readiness
• Mentor projects from scoping to employer-ready demonstrations
• Inform curriculum and labs with current threats, technologies, and best practices
• Demonstrate expertise across core cybersecurity domains and teaching ethical hacking and penetration testing concepts
• Teach endpoint security including protection, hardening, monitoring, and remediation
