Job summary

MITRE is offering a cybersecurity internship designed to tackle real-world challenges in information security. You will work with experienced professionals and apply knowledge across multiple cybersecurity domains including adversary emulation, forensics, and threat intelligence.

This onsite internship requires a minimum of three days per week. The primary hiring season runs September through March, with candidates placed into a pool for various internship roles.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student pursuing an accredited degree program in cybersecurity or information security.
• Must continue to be enrolled the semester following the internship.
• Foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and/or information security methodologies, frameworks, tools and/or programming languages.
• This position has an on-site requirement of 3 days a week minimum.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals and apply knowledge to real-world challenges.
• Gain exposure to Adversary Emulation, Deception and Adversary Engagement.
• Explore Cyber Effects and Reverse Engineering, Cyber Forensics, and Threat Intelligence.
• Support Operational Technology security and cyber policy development.
