Job summary

MITRE is seeking a cybersecurity internship candidate to work with seasoned professionals and gain hands-on experience across areas like adversary emulation, forensics, threat intelligence and policy development.

This on-site internship requires students who will be enrolled the next semester and maintain strong academic performance. The program operates in a pool for various internships; MITRE’s University Recruiting team will reach out if selected.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student pursuing an accredited degree program in cybersecurity, information security, or related disciplines.
• Must remain enrolled the semester following the internship.
• Foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and/or information security methodologies, frameworks, tools and/or programming languages.
• Must have sustained excellence in academic performance.
• On-site requirement of 3 days a week minimum.

Responsibilities

• As a cybersecurity intern, you will collaborate with experienced professionals and apply your knowledge to real-world challenges in cybersecurity and information security.
• Contribute to areas such as adversary emulation, deception and adversary engagement, cyber effects and reverse engineering.
• Assist in cyber forensics, threat intelligence, OT engineering and response, IoT and mobile device security.
• Help engineer safe, secure, and resilient systems and contribute to cyber policy development.
