Job summary

MITRE is seeking cybersecurity interns to collaborate with experienced professionals on real-world challenges across security domains. This hands-on opportunity covers areas from adversary emulation to cyber policy development and resilience engineering.

Applicants must be full-time students in cybersecurity-related programs, remain enrolled for the following semester, and meet on-site requirements. A strong academic record is expected and eligibility for a U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student pursuing an accredited degree program in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related disciplines.
• Must continue to be enrolled the semester following the internship.
• Foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and/or information security methodologies, frameworks, tools and/or programming languages.
• Must have sustained excellence in academic performance.
• On-site requirement of 3 days a week minimum.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced professionals on real-world cybersecurity challenges.
• Gain experience in areas such as Adversary Emulation, Deception and Adversary Engagement, Cyber Effects and Reverse Engineering.
• Engage in Cyber Forensics, Cyber Threat Intelligence, OT Engineering and Response.
• Explore IoT and Mobile Device Security, and Safe, Secure, and Resilient Systems.
• Contribute to Cyber Policy Development.
