Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer I to safeguard digital assets, customer data, and internal systems in Florida. You will monitor security tools, respond to incidents, and help implement defenses across endpoints, networks, and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field; relevant certifications may substitute.
• 3–5 years of cybersecurity experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems (SIEM/Endpoint Protection, DLP, IPS/IDS, NAC) for anomalies.
• Respond to security incidents with root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and coordinate patching across endpoints and servers.
• Perform threat hunting and advanced detection to protect data and systems.
• Lead patch management planning and scheduling across IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate with teams to minimize disruption and ensure patch compatibility.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to prioritize risks.
• Design, implement, and manage security solutions (firewalls, encryption, access control).
• Ensure compliance with NCUA, PCI-DSS and industry standards; assist audits.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures; promote security awareness.
• Collaborate with network, systems, and dev teams to integrate security into infrastructure.
• Deliver cybersecurity training to staff and lead incident response during high-impact events.
