Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst in a hybrid, full-time capacity to monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity events across the enterprise. You will work with SOC tooling, threat intelligence, and cross-functional teams to improve detection, containment, and incident response capabilities.

You will perform threat hunting, tune detections, and maintain actionable documentation while contributing to continuous security improvements and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the role, or 4+ years of related experience.
• 2+ years of security operations or incident response experience.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST CSF frameworks.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR tools in enterprise environments.
• Ability to analyze logs and correlate events from multiple sources.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage alerts from security technologies across multiple domains.
• Investigate phishing, malware, credential compromise, and data exposure events.
• Execute incident response procedures: contain threats, preserve evidence, document timelines, escalate as needed.
• Develop threat hunts and validation activities based on emerging threats and indicators of compromise.
• Tune detections and alert workflows to improve fidelity and reduce noise.
• Maintain clear case records, dashboards, and runbooks for auditability and continuity.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud, identity, and fraud teams for remediation and recovery.
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to post-incident reviews.
