Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a health, IT, engineering, business, or related field.
• Master's degree in IS security, business administration, or healthcare admin preferred.
• Certifications and professional credentials are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cybersecurity team overseeing evaluation, design, architecture, deployment and support of security solutions.
• Provide technical direction and evangelize best practices across the team.
• Develop technologies and strategies aligned with information security frameworks.
• Stay current on security trends, incident response, and impact to UW Health IT.
• Protect assets with new security controls and ongoing evaluation.
• Cultivate relationships with infrastructure teams, vendors, contractors and leadership.
• Align security strategy with business goals and processes.
