Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Senior Cybersecurity Compliance Leader in Austin to establish enterprise-wide cybersecurity governance for CUI and federal contracts. You will drive compliance to CMMC, NIST standards, and DFARS, and lead efforts for readiness and audits across DoD and government programs.

The role involves partnering with manufacturing IT, OT security, and executive leadership to implement secure controls, manage risk, and oversee internal/external audits.

Qualifications

• Senior Manager: 15+ years IT/cybersecurity; 5+ years leading cybersecurity compliance or GRC; master’s in related field.
• Director: 20+ years IT/cybersecurity; 15+ years cybersecurity; 5+ years leading GRC; mentoring Sr. managers.

Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity compliance leadership across CMMC, NIST 800-171/53, CSF, DFARS and related regs.
• Manage CMMC readiness, audits, and POA&Ms; brief executives and government stakeholders.
• Governance for CUI handling; ensure secure storage, transmission and destruction of sensitive data.
• Security for semiconductor OT environments; coordinate with manufacturing and MES teams.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, metrics, and third-party cybersecurity reviews.
