Job summary

UT Austin's Texas Institute for Electronics seeks a Cybersecurity Compliance Senior Manager or Director to lead the organization’s GRC program on site in Austin, TX. You will shape security governance for CUI, DoD contract requirements, and regulatory standards across manufacturing labs, OT, and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in IT security and compliance.
• Experience with CMMC/NIST/DFARS frameworks.
• Ability to lead governance and risk programs with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity Compliance Leadership: establish enterprise-wide cybersecurity compliance strategies supporting CUI environments and federal contracts. Serve as the senior compliance authority for CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, NIST CSF, DFARS, and related regulatory requirements. Lead readiness for CMMC Level 2 and future certification assessments.
• CUI Government Program Security: maintain compliance across all CUI information systems, enclaves, cloud environments, and engineering platforms; oversee boundary definition, data-flow mapping, and asset inventory.
• Semiconductor Manufacturing OT Security: provide cybersecurity governance for fabrication, packaging, testing, and R&D environments; collaborate with OT teams to implement secure practices.
• Risk Management Audit Oversight: lead enterprise risk assessments, direct internal/external audits, and manage remediation programs and KPIs.
• Security Operations Monitoring: establish continuous monitoring programs, oversee vulnerability management, configuration management, and incident response.
• Team Leadership: build and mentor a cybersecurity compliance team; manage budgets, roadmaps, and external engagements.
