Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture across the enterprise. You will lead the development of security strategies, guide technical solutions, and ensure effective controls to mitigate risks in a large logistics organization.

This leadership role requires extensive experience in security architecture, cloud security, and governance, with a proven ability to collaborate across IT and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role or as a cybersecurity architect.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
• Experience with automation/orchestration tools in a security context (SOAR, Ansible, Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Design secure IT environments including network security, cloud architecture, identity and access management, and data protection.
• Architect and implement security controls for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments of technologies, systems, and applications to meet standards.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework with policies and standards.
• Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with legal/compliance teams.
