Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to lead the design and governance of the enterprise security architecture. You will drive secure IT environments, implement controls across on‑prem and cloud, and integrate security tools into the existing IT stack.

You will collaborate with leadership to define risk appetite, oversee security programs, and ensure regulatory compliance while mentoring engineers and driving continuous improvement across the security function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with leadership/architect roles.
• Strong knowledge of security architectures, network, cloud, data, and endpoint security.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as CCPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, and data protection.
• Architect and implement security controls for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Develop and maintain an incident response plan and framework.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and communications teams on incident reporting.
