Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team on site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. You will craft RMF A&A packages, perform continuous monitoring, and conduct system testing to secure advanced systems.

This role requires active Top Secret clearance eligibility and DoD policy expertise. The position anticipates funding in December 2026 and offers a competitive compensation package: $100,000–$156,000 annually, depending on experience, with full benefits and ESOP

Qualifications

• Two or more years of program-specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems.
• Two of the five years of engineering experience on Combat Weapons Systems like Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt, or similar Navy systems.
• IAT Level II or III certification or equivalent when acting as ISSO/ISSE.
• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies for land-based and afloat/tactical systems and strong written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document a system from a cybersecurity perspective using MS Word, Excel, Visio and related tools.
• Derive and document system CONOPS for Mission Assurance per DoDI 8500.2.
• Apply DISA STIGs and NSA recommendations to systems.
• Identify gaps between built specs, security requirements and DoD policies; propose remediation.
• Lead ISSO activities for security matters related to information systems.
