Job summary

Abacus Group seeks a Cybersecurity Advisor to join its vCISO team in the US. You will guide and mature security programs for financial clients, aligning strategies with business needs and US regulatory expectations.

The role requires cloud security expertise (Azure/AWS), IAM controls, and the ability to translate assessments into practical remediation roadmaps for diverse environments. Strong communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in tech with customer focus; 2+ years leadership.
• 3+ years with Azure or AWS cloud hosting.
• Strong problem-solving and project completion skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary security advisor for multiple clients, guiding cybersecurity programs.
• Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and build risk management plans.
• Design secure architectures and tailored security solutions.
• Translate assessment findings into remediation roadmaps for clients.
• Prepare client-ready documentation and executive updates.
• Support delivery of vCISO services across client environments.
• Stay current on US financial regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA).
