Abacus Technologies is seeking an Information Security Systems Engineer to join the Security Practice. You will blend technical expertise with client consulting to deliver cutting-edge security solutions and drive project success.

The role includes designing security architectures, guiding clients through risk assessments, and leading incident response efforts to protect assets for both the company and clients. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including security engineering, client advisory, or consulting roles.
Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security).

Responsibilities

Develop and implement security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, and secure access controls.
Engage with clients to understand their security needs, provide tailored recommendations, and develop actionable security roadmaps.
Plan and deliver security-focused projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation of solutions that align with client objectives.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
Lead and support the investigation and resolution of security incidents, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Ensure organizational and client compliance with security frameworks, regulations, and best practices (e.g., CMMC, CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
Work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to integrate security into system design, operations, and business processes.
Assist in developing and delivering training programs for clients and internal teams to enhance overall security awareness and best practices.
Research and implement the latest security technologies and methodologies to improve client and organizational defenses.
Configure and manage security monitoring tools, analyze logs, and produce detailed reports for internal and client use to maintain a robust security posture.
