Job summary

Will County 911 ETS seeks a Cybersecurity Administrator to protect the county’s emergency communications cyber environment. Under the Network Systems Manager, you will administer cybersecurity systems, monitor threats, conduct assessments, and develop security policies and controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of professional cybersecurity experience; a Master’s is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISM, GSEC) are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five (5) or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in cybersecurity or related areas.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience with 9-1-1 or emergency response operations and government operations at county/regional level.
• Security+ or CISSP or CISM or CySA+ or GSEC or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

• Protect Will County ETSB’s cybersecurity environment for 9-1-1 emergency communications.
• Administer cybersecurity systems and tools; monitor threats and respond to vulnerabilities.
• Conduct security assessments and develop policies, procedures, standards and controls.
• Support incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, security monitoring, compliance, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or closely related field

Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or closely related field
