Job summary

Amentum seeks a Software Engineer to join the Low-side LMS team in Hanover, MD. You will design, develop, deploy, and sustain software for cyber training environments, collaborating with instructors and admins across a diverse stack.

You will work on APIs, UI components, data flows, automation, and pipelines, supporting multiple environments and contributing to secure coding practices and tooling improvements.

Qualifications

• Degrees in computer science or software engineering with substantial experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Java or C++ required.
• Experience with web UI design using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JSON/XML.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software applications and infrastructure.
• Analyze requirements and implement technical solutions for mission needs.
• Develop APIs, UI components, data processing and automation tools.
• Maintain software pipelines, deploy in virtualized/container environments.
• Collaborate across instructors, developers and admins to improve training.
