Job summary

Amentum seeks an experienced instructional content specialist to research, validate, and update mission/technical materials for courses. You will ensure technical alignment, draft procedures, and provide SME input to ISD and development teams, with a focus on secure handling and configuration-control procedures.

The role involves building training content, preparing labs and assessments, and supporting evaluation and QA processes in a government environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber/IT foundation sufficient to build/troubleshoot training; LMS or curriculum experience alone is insufficient.
• Ability to read/modify and, where appropriate, write scripts/code; reason through execution logic.
• Experience with government-approved templates/tools for technical content is a plus.
• Familiarity with configuration management (CM) repositories and versioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather and validate raw content for courses; document sources and assumptions.
• Review storyboards for technical accuracy and provide disposition inputs.
• Draft/update technical narratives, procedures, and labs according to templates.
• Provide SME clarification to instructional designers and graphic artists.
• Assist in drafting assessment questions and rubrics; ensure no answer keys are present.
• Coordinate content submission to CM repositories and support release notes.
