Job summary

The Hartford is seeking an experienced Claims Consultant for its Cyber and Technology team in a hybrid or remote capacity. You will manage a caseload of first party and third party cyber and technology claims from inception to disposition, including litigation matters and defense counsel coordination.

Ideal candidates have a Juris Doctorate or equivalent, a minimum of three years handling litigated cyber/tech claims, and strong communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills to drive

Qualifications

• Knowledge of both first- and third-party claims a plus
• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate degree preferred
• Minimum of three years handling litigated coverage and/or liability cases in Cyber & Technology liability claims

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and analyze information learned
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages based on facts
• Handle cyber and technology claims, coordinating with customers, law firms and vendors
• Assist during active cyber incidents and respond to urgent customer needs
• Communicate written positions on coverage and damages to insureds and others
• Set reserves and monitor for adjustments; present cases to management
