Job summary

Peraton seeks a Cyber Systems Operations Manager at MacDill AFB, FL, to lead a team delivering secure IT operations under the SITEC contract. The role focuses on building and maintaining cybersecurity tools and architectures to protect enterprise networks.

You will guide security engineers, oversee tool lifecycles, and collaborate with enterprise teams to ensure resilient cyber defenses and compliant operations across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience
• DoD TS/SCI clearance
• DoW 8570 IAT II Certification
• Must be DoW 8140 compliant under System Administrator - Advanced
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and Cybersecurity Enclave tools (Endpoint, Network, SIEM, ACAS)

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of security engineers and administrators responsible for cybersecurity tools and platforms
• Provides technical direction, workload prioritization, and mentorship to ensure engineering standards
• Oversees configuration management, patching, and lifecycle operations for cyber tools
• Conducts technical reviews and troubleshooting of service configurations and integrations
• Defines integration architectures across SIEM, EDR, SOAR, firewalls, and identity platforms
• Develops and maintains architecture diagrams, design patterns, and engineering standards
• Evaluates emerging technologies and supports modernization and zero-trust initiatives
• Serves as primary liaison between cybersecurity services, enterprise architecture, and IT infrastructure teams
