Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Cyber System Security Technical Lead to manage cybersecurity policies, risk assessments, and compliance for enterprise IT systems. This remote role requires leading RMF, cloud security (AWS GovCloud), and ATO efforts for applications, products, and cloud environments.

The candidate will guide security engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a robust security posture.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience, or a High School diploma/equivalent and 12 years of experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Application Security.
• Relevant security certifications such as Security+, CASP, CCISO, CISM, CISSP, CAP, etc.
• AWS Security certification
• Strong technical understanding of IT systems, applications, SaaS products, IAM, and AWS GovCloud security services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ATO efforts for new applications, products, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Manage and verify cybersecurity policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies for on-site and networked systems.
• Identify security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks; develop and oversee POA&Ms.
• Analyze systems for compliance with mandated security controls, document non-compliance issues, and develop mitigation and impact statements.
• Maintain continuous monitoring and update security attributes to ensure ongoing compliance with cybersecurity frameworks.
• Verify that cybersecurity requirements are met for all phases of the RMF.
• Perform cost impact assessments related to cybersecurity risks.
• Coordinate security assessments, audits, and reviews aligned with federal regulations and agency mandates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate system security into IAM systems, applications, SaaS products, and cloud platforms.
• Lead and support security engineering teams to implement best practices and adhere to security standards.
