Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Manager, Cyber Security in the Information Security Office to drive governance, risk transformation, and security maturity across the Card line of business. You’ll coordinate proactive information security consulting with infrastructure, data, network design, and access management; review architectures; and partner with engineers and product managers to shift security left.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
• 5+ years of experience evaluating, contributing to, or supporting development of cybersecurity capabilities.
• 5+ years of experience performing security risk assessments and security architecture reviews.

Responsibilities

• Act as Information Security point of contact for a business function.
• Coordinate and execute proactive Information Security consulting across Infrastructure Security, Resiliency, Data Security, Network Architecture and Design, and User Access Management.
• Serve as an expert in Information Security capabilities, solutions, policies, procedures and standards.
• Review architecture and provide risk mitigation solutions and drive overall risk management.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to break down silos and problem solve.
• Influence customers to shift security left in development processes.
• Escalate and manage cybersecurity risk.
• Provide updates to executive leadership on Information Security health and risk.
