Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr. Manager of Cyber Security to lead Information Security Office efforts in governance, capability maturation, and risk transformation. You’ll collaborate with enterprise platforms, guide security design, and present risk insights to executives.

The role emphasizes threat intelligence, risk management, and enabling secure development across the organization. Candidates should have a strong background in architecture, cloud security, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity or information technology.
• 5+ years in security risk assessments and security architecture reviews.
• 5+ years in architecture, software design, networking or Cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Act as a central Information Security point of contact for the Enterprise Platforms line of business.
• Coordinate and execute proactive Information Security consulting for Infrastructure Security, Resiliency, Data Security, Network Architecture, and User Access Management
• Serve as an expert in Capital One’s Information Security capabilities, policies, and standards
• Influence customers to leverage security capabilities and shift security left in development processes
• Escalate and manage cyber security risk and provide updates to executive leadership
• Support on special Information Security topics for the business and translate findings for stakeholders
