Job summary

Southern Company Services seeks a Cyber Security Manager to oversee security architecture and operations across Generation, Gas, Transmission, PowerSecure, and Southern Power. This role leads a team to engineer security strategies and secure energy operations.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in information security leadership, experience with energy-sector ICS security, and the ability to secure executive buy-in. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security leadership.
• Experience with energy sector ICS security technologies and trends.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and teams.
• Ability to present recommendations to executive management and secure buy-in.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing cybersecurity organization.
• Establish collaboration with Generation, Gas, Transmission, PowerSecure, and Southern Power teams.
• Brief executive management regarding security posture, threats, and incidents.
• Deliver cyber security and compliance requirements across IT and business units.
• Lead IT cyber security engineering, implementation and support for assets.
• Manage capital and operating budgets for projects.
• Guide selection and deployment of security technologies across the organization.
• Lead efforts to comply with NERC CIP standards.
• Oversee design and implementation of cyber security projects to protect control assets.
