Job summary

Southern Company is seeking a Cyber Security Manager for Generation, Gas, Transmission, PowerSecure, and Southern Power. You will oversee architectures, implement defenses, and lead a team to protect critical energy operations.

Travel up to 15% and collaboration with IT and business units are essential. The role requires 8+ years in information security leadership, experience with energy sector ICS, and the ability to present security recommendations to executives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security leadership are required.
• Experience with energy sector industrial control systems security technologies and trends.
• Demonstrated ability to secure multi-million-dollar budgets and lead senior technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Cyber Security organization across Generation, Gas, Transmission, PowerSecure, and Southern Power.
• Communicate security posture, risks, and remediation plans to executive management.
• Oversee implementation of security technologies and compliant programs with NERC CIP requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to meet security and compliance needs.
• Provide capital and operating expense management for security initiatives.
